SORRY. BEEN BUSY!

I've been very busy with the movie awards, growing ever more frantic as the Academy Awards® approach. I'll be back to this blog in March.

Meanwhile, visit my "Mimi at the Movies" blog. Click the link on the right sidebar, or click title of this post. When you get to the "movies" blog, also click the links to my film festivals and film awards pages, and much more.

The Academy Awards for outstanding motion picture achievements of 2006 will be presented Sunday, 25 February, at the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood & Highland Center®. The Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST).

The evening begins with a half-hour arrivals segment, “The Road to the Oscars®,” before the start of the presentation ceremony at 5 p.m., PST. Film historian, television host, and Hollywood Reporter columnist Robert Osborne will once again serve as the Academy's red carpet celebrity greeter. Vogue editor-at-large AndrĂ© Leon Talley will be the voice of fashion, and Allyson Waterman will interview the various celebrities.
